Meet Our Team

Dr. Kalantar

Dr. Kalantar, known by her patients as Dr. Neda, received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Virginia in 1997 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry in 2001. She then went on to specialize in pediatric dentistry, completing her training at Howard University School of Dentistry in 2004.

Dr. Neda is the proud recipient of numerous awards for leadership and community service including the Lillian Reynolds Award for her high academic achievement during her post graduate pediatric dental training. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Virginia Dental Association and the American Dental Association. And she was voted “top dentist” in both the Washingtonian and also in Northern Virginia Magazine.

Dr. Neda was born in Chicago and grew up in Virginia Beach, Va.; she now resides in Washington DC with her husband and two boys. For as long as she can remember, she has been passionate about working for and with children. She founded Pediatric Dentistry of Reston in 2006, and has been serving the Washington Metropolitan Area & families since 2004. She has participated in numerous international and local dental/medical missions, including 7 separate missions with Operation Smile to Nicaragua, Vietnam and Gaza; and she remains actively involved in her local community by visiting schools, speaking to parenting groups, and hosting school visits to her office. She enjoys traveling, yoga and spending time with her family.

Dr. Payam

Dr. Payam Amirsayafi believes that every child should enjoy going to the dentist. He earned his Doctor in Dental Surgery in 2000 and after practicing in private practice for 7 years, he decided to specialize in pediatric dentistry. He completed his two-year Advanced Pediatric Dentistry Certificate Program at Tufts School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts in 2011. During that period, he also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at Tufts University where he enjoyed working and teaching dental students. His strong academic background and clinical skills have enabled him to provide the best care to all his patients. Dr. Payam is also certified to provide services in sedation and in the dental care of special need patients. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Orthodontic Society and International Association of Dental Research.

Dr. Payam moved to Northern Virginia with his wife in 2011. He enjoys traveling, sports and cooking. He loves to run and partake in marathons and triathlons when he can.
